Business red bahi-khata
A red bahi-khata, the cloth-bound account book that is worshipped at Chopda pujan, lying closed and tied with a red and yellow thread, with a reed pen and an inkpot below it, painted in the flat colours and fine outlines of a Rajasthani miniature on warm ivory paper. It speaks of a new business year and honest accounts, which suits traders, jewellers, accountants and family firms.

Making it yours
Under the painting the ivory paper is open for about half of the card's height, with room for your logo, each customer's name in a greeting pack, the title, a short message, one offer line and your business name. Kumkum red matches the red of the book, Maroon is deeper and quieter, and Dark brown reads like the ink in the pot. The header symbol is off by default; turned on, it heads the card with Shree Ganeshaya Namah, as on the first page of a new chopda. The Elegant style is the default; Traditional suits the miniature too.
About the craft: Bahi-khata
Long before accounts moved to computers, Indian traders kept them in the bahi-khata: a long, narrow book bound in red cloth and tied shut with a cotton cord. New bahis are bought before Diwali and worshipped at Chopda pujan, when the first page is marked with kumkum and turmeric and the year's accounts begin; many firms still keep one for the puja. This design paints a closed bahi-khata with its thread, a reed pen and an inkpot, in the flat colours and fine outlines of a Rajasthani miniature.
