Business Bidri silver
A round Bidri medallion, a small diya inside an eight-petal lotus ringed by vines and little flowers, in flat silver on matte black, like the inlaid metalwork of Bidar. Black and silver set it apart from the gold designs: modern, sober and expensive-looking, it suits offices, studios, showrooms, technology firms and clinics.

Making it yours
Under the medallion the black ground is open for about half of the card's height, with room for your logo, each customer's name in a greeting pack, the title, a short thank-you, one offer line and your business name. Silver sets every line in the pale silver of the inlay; Ivory white is a touch warmer. The header symbol is off by default. The Elegant style is the default; Modern suits a technology firm or a clinic, and a white or light logo stands out best on the black.
About the craft: Bidri
Bidri ware comes from Bidar in Karnataka, where it has been made since the days of the Bahmani sultans. The craftsman casts an alloy of zinc and a little copper, engraves the design into it, hammers fine silver wire and sheet into the grooves and files it flush, then blackens the metal with a paste of soil from Bidar fort, which leaves the silver bright against a deep, matte black. Bidri boxes and bowls are a classic Diwali gift. This design draws a round Bidri medallion, a small diya at its heart, in silver on black.
