Business gold foil swastik
A sathiya, the swastik with a dot in each quarter that traders draw on the first page of the new account books, in fine gold-foil lines inside a ring of lotus petals on deep emerald green, with nothing else on the card. Auspicious and formal at once, it suits trading firms, wholesalers, jewellers and chartered accountants greeting their clients at the start of the new business year.

Making it yours
Below the swastik the emerald ground is open for about half of the card's height. Your logo heads the text; in a greeting pack each customer's name follows it, then the title, a short thank-you, one offer line and your business name at the foot. Gold foil sets all of it in the gold of the swastik, Ivory white keeps small print crisp, and Gold pairs a gold title with ivory lines. The header symbol is off, as the swastik already carries the blessing. The Elegant style is the default; Traditional gives a bolder title.
About the craft: Swastik
In Gujarati and Marwari trading houses the new year's accounts open with a sathiya. On the evening of Lakshmi Puja the owner draws a swastik in kumkum on the first page of the new chopda, with a dot in each of its four quarters, and often writes Shubh and Labh, good fortune and profit, on either side; the same mark goes on the shop's threshold and its cash box. This design draws that swastik in fine gold lines inside a ring of lotus petals.
