Gold foil lotus diya
One lotus diya in gold-foil line art on midnight navy: pointed petals open around a tall flame on a small stepped base, with a scatter of tiny gold dots. The rest of the card is plain navy, so the lettering carries it. It suits an evening Diwali party, a dinner or a dressier Diwali Milan.

Making it yours
Your words sit on the plain navy below the diya, a little over half the card's height and set in from the sides. The card opens in the Elegant style, a flowing script title over small spaced capitals for the host, date and venue. Text colours: Gold foil, Ivory white or Gold. No header symbol is set, because the diya already crowns the card; add Ganesh, Lakshmi or Om if you like, or a round family photo above the title.
About the craft: Lotus diya
The lotus is Lakshmi's flower: she is shown seated on one and holding another, and the lotus opens clean out of muddy water. Lamps shaped like an opening lotus are a favourite at Diwali, in brass for the puja shelf and in clay for the doorstep, with the wick rising from the centre so that the flame seems to grow out of the flower. This design draws one such lotus diya in fine gold lines, its petals open around a tall flame.
