Sanjhi society Diwali
A paper-cut skyline of apartment blocks, trees and a society gate along the bottom, with lanterns, birds and a crescent moon above, ivory on deep maroon. It shows the society itself, which makes it a natural choice for the committee's invitation to all residents.

The sky above the buildings is the space for text, about two-fifths of the card's height, so name the programme and the date and keep the rest for the event page. Ivory white matches the cut paper; Marigold makes the title stand out. A diya line sits on top, whichever language the card is in.
About the craft: Sanjhi paper-cut
Sanjhi is the paper-cutting art of Mathura and Vrindavan in Braj. Artists cut fine stencils from paper with scissors, traditionally to make pictures in coloured powder at Krishna temples, and today the cut paper itself is framed as art. This design uses a paper-cut skyline of a housing society, with lanterns and a crescent moon above it, in ivory over deep maroon.
